The wave number–spiral design enables a new dynamic feature: frequency-based steering of standing SAWs. The direction and wave number of standing SAWs can be adjusted by tuning the excitation frequency. For example, when an input electrical signal contains a single frequency fm, the mth pair of IDTs in the wave number–spiral acoustic tweezers will be excited and will generate counterpropagating SAWs with the wave number km. First Interstate Bank increased its position in shares of LightPath Technologies by 54.2% during the fourth quarter. First Interstate Bank now owns 55,500 shares of the technology company’s stock worth $83,000 after acquiring an additional 19,500 shares in the last quarter. Finally, Coastal Investment Advisors Inc. bought a new stake in shares of LightPath Technologies during the first quarter worth about $37,000. Hedge funds and other institutional investors own 26.55% of the company’s stock.

RYAN MANDELBAUM: And so Maddury, can you tell us a little bit about– we know that there are multiple teams working on this idea. So what has it been like to be working in tandem with these groups? I know that there’s you and then I know there’s the other group in Germany. So can you tell us a bit about that? 

The global desktop CNC machines market has witnessed tremendous growth in the last few years, owing to the growing demand from the manufacturing sector and the quality delivered by CNC machines. Manufacturers that specialize in producing CNC machines offer a wide range of lightweight and smaller desktop machines. These machines feature high-tech machine tools including a power-driven grinding wheel, which spins at the required speed, and a fixture that guides and holds the workpiece. They are not only precise but also have the capability to handle soft materials, such as plastic and foam.
